Pattern is only available in ENGLISH.   About the Carrier Tube   The Carrier Tube was created out of a need for my sister to carry her landscape designs to client meetings. The Carrier Tube is a customizable carrying tube.  It can be customized in width and length using a calculations chart.  Only basic addition and subtraction are required. The structure is achieved by using a mailer tube or some other tube like item, many of which can be found around the house or at the store.  From professional use, to storage, to cosplay, the ideas are endless!  And as you can see from the pictures - we've been a bit silly with it! Finished Size Varies based on your customization.  Complexity: On a scale of Boisterous Beginner/Adventurous Intermediate/Excitingly Advanced, this bag is Boisterous Beginner!  Domestic friendly.  Rectangular pieces are only given by cut chart.   Supply List  Hardware (2) 1 (25mm) D-Rings (4) 1” (25mm) Strap Ends (2) 1” (25mm) Swivel Clasps (1) 1” (25mm) Strap Slider Adjuster (1) #5 Zipper Pull (1) #5 Zipper Tape (Length depends on tube size, see pages 8-10) (8) Medium Double Capped Rivet Set [3/8 Caps x 5/16 Post (9mm x 8mm)] (1) Logo or “Handmade” Tag (optional)   Fabric Requirements 1/2 yd (46cm) Vinyl, faux leather, or cork at 54” (137cm) WOF* 1/4 yd (23cm) Woven Lining at 44” (112cm) WOF 1/4 yd (23cm) Woven Interfacing at 20” (51cm) WOF 1/8 yd (11.5cm) or less Decovil Light 525 at 17” (43cm) WOF Small scraps Decovil “Heavy” 526 at 17” (43cm) WOF *Woven fabric can be used for the exterior with this tube.  If using woven, I suggest two layers of woven interfacing on all woven exterior pieces.  Then stabilize as the pattern suggests.    Other Materials Mailer Tube - See below on Choosing a Tube Double sided tape 1/4” (6mm) Clips Marking pen, pencil, etc Rotary cutter or scissors Pinking shears Grid ruler Grid cutting mat Fabric glue or super glue Hole punch tool Rivet setter tool or rivet press Stapler and staples Pliers Length needs varies due to tube size - Double fold bias tape (1/2” (1.3cm) when folded is best) Duct tape   Choosing a Tube Structure I like to use mailer tubes.  I’ve included some links below.  That said, since this pattern details how to customize to your tube size, you can often find items around your house or at the hardware store that will also work.  Any straight cylindrical container will work.  I do not, however, recommend anything smaller than 3 (7.6cm) diameter tubes due to turning.  Mailer Tubes are readily found at post offices, stationary supply stores, and online.  I recommend 3 x 36 (7.6cm x 91.5cm) or 3” x 37” (7.6cm x 94cm).  Note: Check your finished measurement! Mine said 36 but are 37 as they are measuring inner cap to inner cap.
