Today I look at grades of soft graphite, ranging from HB to 4B, which are the pencils I use for most of my daily writing. I actually prefer a darker, smoother writing experience, even if I have to accept a degree of smearing and more frequent sharpening. I also talk about some of my favorite pencils.
