. Vintage metal toy boat outboard motor in red with silver tone accent hardware and propeller. Stamped “300 HP” on one side and “Japan” on rigging mechanism. I believe this may be either a Olson Radio Co, Langcraft or Lafayette model. I couldn’t find one in all-red in the internet archives after researching for several hours. I also have no way to test the motor. When I lift the motor cover and turn the motor shaft, the propeller turns as well ( a little stiff). Also, I believe it should have a white wire but only has the red. Visually, the motor appears intact but it will definitely need servicing if the intent is for it to work. However, this item is a beautiful and striking decor item as is. Great gift for a boating aficionado, model boat racer, manly man in your life, fisher person, etc. Size: 4.25” x 3” x 1.25” Condition: Appears to have all parts except white wire. Propeller turns when motor shaft is turned but is stiff and needs oiling. Red paint has scattered chipping. NPK-22 (psh)
