The pad features gentle ridges between the rows of knitting which help stabilize items in place.  Wool is naturally anti-microbial, and the loop allows it to dry out easily between uses. Hand knit and naturally dyed by women in Nepal, these dish mats add a beautiful texture to your sustainable kitchen.  Since it is naturally dyed, each one is unique.  At the end of its life cycle, the earth friendly fibers and dyes will decompose so it is one less thing to end up for a millennia in the landfill.  Dimensions   Approximately 16 x 20  Materials 100% pure wool roving | Cutch from acacai trees | Mycopigments from mushrooms  Care Your wool dish mat is washable!  To clean: Use mild detergent and gently spot wash.  If necessary, wash with cold water on a gentle cycle in a washing machine.  You can put it in the dryer for a felted look, but it does best if line dried.  Since the cutch is a natural dye, it needs to be kept out of harsh, direct sunlight.
