A rare pair of solid silver egg toppers, with scissor action and the teeth formed from the silver body. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1911, makers Hammond, Turner & Sons. It measures 10cm (4") long and 7cm (2 3/4") wide across closed handles. Condition is very good; no damage or repair, minor handling wear. The scissor action works well with a nice tight hinge. There is a very fractional distortion off the hinge but it doesn't affect performance in any way. Teeth are good and sharp, ready for use and the perfect gift for those who love an egg for breakfast!
