This course is the next step in our Round Robin series. Participants will get the chance to grow their knowledge by expounding on skills and techniques learned in prevoius classes. Each semester brings a new theme and subject of study in which students will spend time learning each of the following mediums:Clay Handbuilding In this portion of the class, students will focus on creating fun projects using handbuilding techniques such as coiling, pinching, and slab work.Clay Throwing This class will introduce the pottery wheel and techniques for making successful functional wares.Drawing A fun approach to drawing! With the basic elements of art as a guide, we will explore several artists work and use a variety of materials. Lots of self- expression!Paint Students will be introduced to new painting techniques and styles inspired by various famous artists. They will leave with a greater understanding of proper brushstrokes, color theory and composition, and a new sense of their own painting styles. Ages 13+ All materials for all art mediums provided. Classes run from the 2nd week of August through the first week of December. Class fees are divided into 4 equal payments of $105.00 per month for 4 months. Payments begin as soon as you sign up for classes and cover 16 sessions over the course of the semester. Closing Art Show is the weekend immediately following last week of classes..
